Description of Tool or App
Glogster literally translates to ‘graphic blog.’ It is a social network site that allows its members to create interactive posters. These posters can contain text, pictures, videos, music or links to other webpages which makes it interactive. Posters can be shared or kept private. They can be printed or embedded in Wikis and blogs or shared on Facebook or Twitter.

Glogster Edu was created to provide a safe place for teachers and students to create and to share their glogs. Teachers can use this tool to help capture and engage their students' imaginations and it helps by making learning fun. This is a private site, monitored by the teacher who sets up the account. Glogster is a great collaborative tool that can be used across the curriculum, and it provides a way for teachers to assess and to differentiate assignments for their students. Students can use this tool to express themselves in a creative and individual way for each assignment, either alone or by working with other students.

How To Use Tool or App

To register for a general account:
  • Click on the 'Create Account' in the lower right corner of the website www.glogster.com
  • Enter a nickname, password, and email address AND click 'Start Glogging.'
  • Verify your account information using the email address you used

To Begin Glogging:
  • Click on 'Create New Glog.'
  • Choose the layout you want to use.
  • Start adding text, pictures, and links by following the guide and using the menu bar.
